What controllers do you work with?
We program Whelen (CenCom, Liberty, SCSC), Federal Signal (Touchmaster, Vector), SoundOff Signal (mpower, nForce), and Code 3 platforms. If you're running something else, reach out — we'll confirm compatibility before starting.
How does remote programming actually work?
You give us remote access to the vehicle's controller via a laptop or designated programming interface connected to the unit. We connect over a secure session, upload the configuration, test all outputs, and disconnect. The vehicle never leaves your facility.
Do I need to change any of my hardware?
No. We work with whatever is already installed. Programming is software-level — we're not touching wiring, heads, or the lightbar itself. The only requirement is that the controller is functional and accessible.
What does the documentation package include?
Every job delivers a configuration document covering: controller make/model, firmware version, all pattern assignments (with timing), siren tone mapping, switch/input assignments, and a change log if it was a remediation job. Stored as PDF and available digitally.
How long does a standard job take?
A single-vehicle configuration from scratch takes 2–4 hours including testing and documentation. Fleet jobs (5+ vehicles with a shared profile) are quoted per batch. Remediations depend on the complexity of the existing config — we'll give you an estimate after audit.
We already have a config — can you just adjust it?
Yes. We can work from an existing configuration file, make targeted changes, test the affected outputs, and update the documentation. If you don't have a config file and need us to reverse-engineer from the vehicle, that's a remediation — we handle that too.
